ABB e-mobility is a leading player in the electric vehicle charging infrastructure market. We are looking for a Lead Product Manager to join our team and drive the development and growth of our VPP & Energy Management portfolio.


As the Lead Product Manager for VPP & Energy Management, you will be responsible for building out this strategic initiative for future business growth. You will have a strong commercial, strategic and entrepreneurial mindset, with relevant experience in building new business models where energy and carbon footprint offset are key drivers. Ideally, your relevant work experience should come from the utility & e-mobility world.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Defining and executing the product roadmap for VPP & Energy Management, with a focus on different customer segments and market reach of our business lines
  • Developing and implementing new business models that leverage energy and carbon footprint offset as key drivers
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development and launch
  • Conducting market research to identify new opportunities and trends in the e-mobility and energy sectors
  • Analyzing and reporting on product performance metrics to inform future development and business decisions
  • Developing a deep understanding of utility and energy market regulations and policies, and incorporating them into product strategy
  • Collaborating with Utilities and energy businesses to identify synergies and partnership opportunities
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders in the utility and energy sectors, including utilities, energy service providers, regulators, and policymakers

Job requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in product management, with a focus on energy management or related fields, ideally in the utility sector
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills, with experience developing and implementing new business models
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • A proven track record of successfully launching and scaling new products or business models in the energy sectors
  • Experience with regulatory frameworks and policies related to utility and energy markets


Personal:

  • Solution oriented and communicative style
  • Structured in communication and approach
  • Willingness to travel globally if conference calls are not sufficient
  • Hands-on mentality willing to take charge as part of the energy transition strategy
  • Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams, clear verbal communicator in at least English.
  • Feels comfortable in fast moving, innovative & dynamic market and technology environment
